Programmer/Analyst

Position: Performs analysis, programming and programmer testing on enhancements for our client’s claims re-pricing application. The primary focus of this position is to ensure the on-going evolution, implementation and customization of our pricing software. Responsibilities include providing day-to-day support for production activities and work with development team to diagnose and correct application defects.

Essential Functions:
Performs analysis, programming and programmer testing on projects as assigned.
Responsible for internal/external customer support such as resolving Help Desk tickets
Responsible for claims pricing software upgrades, application synchronization, including Web application testing and fine tuning
Responsible for retrofitting enhanced code into existing application.
Must be able to review code (Pl/SQL, Unix, Pro C) and understand the functionality.
Create test data and scripts pertaining to EDI claims data transfers.Qualifications:
MUST BE A U.S. CITIZEN
Bachelor Degree required, Computer Science concentration a plus!
1+ years experience in software programming
Must have experience with Oracle, Oracle scripting, PL/SQL
Proficiency with Unix and Unix scripting
EDI and EDI data mapping knowledge helpful
Experience working with the health care or insurance industries, preferably with claims payment a plus.
