This involves coordinating all product testing and evaluation, developing and implementing advertising and promotional ideas, organizing warehousing and distribution resources, and training sales and service personnel. Monitors and evaluates the products' initial performance in the market and provides critical performance data to Olympus Tokyo. Provides technical support to field sales personnel and customers. Manages trade show participation to promote the sales of assigned products. Participates in sales calls with representatives as a technical support. Reviews and analyzes market studies, trade literature, and Internet sources to formulate ideas and opinions on areas of opportunity presented by the market place. Maintains files of competitive material for reference. Organizes and conducts workshops to promote the sales of the product. Partners with customers to present the product to other potential customers. Delivers technical training to sales and customer service representatives to expand their understanding of Olympus products. Composes product literature based on an in-depth understanding of the key elements of the market. Formulates an objective for each piece of literature produced. Prepares communications to doctors on various issues related to product performance, deliveries, or new procedures. Performs other duties as assigned. REQUIREMENTS
(ONLY QUALIFIED CANDIDATES WILL BE CONSIDERED) A minimum of 5 years experience in product marketing or product sales in the medical industry is required. In-depth knowledge on the use and operating characteristics of products is required. Must be computer literate. Must have a specialized and in-depth knowledge of the market. Excellent verbal and written communication skills are essential. Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills are necessary. Must be able to travel domestically 25% of the time. A Bachelor's Degree in a related field (e.g., life sciences, medical technology, marketing) or equivalent knowledge and experience is required.
