Principal Veterinary Technicians

Principal Veterinary TechniciansThe Veterinary Medical Center is looking for three supervisors for the following areas: Large Animal Hospital, Medical Imaging and Wards.
The supervisor performs supervisory level administrative, operational and related support for the VMC. Coordinates the activities and supervises the technical and/or administrative staff in multiple service areas. Role models excellent customer service and organizational leadership behavior and actively participates in quality improvement initiatives. Provides and supervises the training of techniques, protocols and procedures to new and current staff. Works with other supervisors to identify areas of concern and finds solutions to problems. Upholds the mission, vision and values of the VMC, looking for ways to continuously improve customer service, helping the VMC survive in a competitive environment.
Qualifications: Graduate of an accredited Veterinary Technician training program; certified as MVMA/MAVT technician; and at least two years of experience assisting DVMs with veterinary medicine procedures to include surgeries, radiographs, anesthesia or emergency care. Some applicants in this position may require a background check. Preferred candidates will have strong interpersonal and problem solving skills, knowledge of veterinary medicine terminology and the proper restraint and handing of large and small animals. Lead Technician experience, certified technician with licensure recognized in Minnesota, supervisor experience and a customer service orientation is desired.
