EDUCATION: BS in nursing or Medical Technologist with Bachelor's level degree. Masters in nursing or healthcare related field preferred. Licensed Registered Nurse in Texas or Medical Technologist. Certified Infection Control (CIC) required. Six Sigma certification required within 2 years of hire.Minimum Requirements - EXPERIENCE: 3 years experience leading hospital based or multi-hospital Infection Control Program with progressive experience related to healthcare quality, performance improvement and/or patient safety. Significant experience utilizing proven analysis and performance improvement strategies. Project management experience in complex healthcare environment.
Minimum Requirements - SKILLS: Expert knowledge in IC issues facing healthcare organizations.Strong research, analysis and educational/communication skills combined w/knowledge of healthcare quality and trends.A thorough understanding of the common desktop applications of Word, Excel, Powerpoint, Project Management. Proven interpersonal and public presentation skills.
