This has lead to stability within our team and a tremendous relationship with the nursing staff. Located just 30 miles from Wausau, this facility has a strong referral relationship with those hospitals. The caseload is a solid mix of A & B & Advocare. The most common DX is ortho, dementia & CVAs and we average at a 75% productivity rate. We host a wellness program in the rehab department that utilizes our Nautilus equipment. The facility boasts about our functional outcomes with geriatric strength training and our state of the are modality programs (Ultrasound, e-stim & diathermy
). We have an active restorative program, a rehab aide, separate kitchen and a private treatment room. Aegis Therapies is currently looking to hire a Physical Therapist
The Physical Therapist(PT) will perform some if not all of the following duties:
Plan, prepare and carry out individually designed programs of physical treatment to maintain, improve or restore physical functioning, alleviate pain and prevent physical dysfunction in patients. Perform and document an initial exam, evaluating the data to identify problems and determine a diagnosis prior to intervention. Evaluate effects of treatment at various stages and adjust treatments to achieve maximum benefit. Administer manual exercises, massage and/or traction to help relieve pain, increase the patient's strength, and decrease or prevent deformity and crippling. Instruct patient and family in treatment procedures to be continued at home. Confer with the patient, medical practitioners and appropriate others to plan, implement and assess the intervention program.Review physician's referral and patient's medical records to help determine diagnosis and physical therapy treatment required. Record prognosis, treatment, response, and progress in patient's chart or enter information into computer. Obtain patients' informed consent to proposed interventions.Discharge patient from physical therapy when goals or projected outcomes have been attained and provide for appropriate followup care or referrals

REQUIREMENTS
Performs evaluations, develops and implements effective patient treatment plans to restore, compensate or adapt for loss of patient function, by planning and administering medically prescribed therapy treatments in accordance with federal, state and professional standards governing the facility and their discipline.
Must be a graduate from an accredited program for Physical Therapy.
