Physical Therapist Assistant (Full time / Per Diem)

The purpose of the Physical Therapy Assistant position is to treat and document care for patients with impaired ability to perform at an independent level due to disease process, under the supervision of a physical therapist; participate in the interdisciplinary team meetings as required. Full-time day shift and/or Per Diem Day.

RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:Following physicians’ orders for patient care, and follow directions of the physical therapistProviding appropriate treatment to help patients maintain or attain the highest level of function possible within the confines of his/her functionProviding appropriate treatment, preventative measures and adaptive equipment to prevent decline in patients’ functionProviding appropriate patient or caregiver education to help patients maintain or attain the highest level of function possible within the confines of his/her abilityMaintaining timely and accurate patient reports as required by federal, state and local regulatory agencies and third-party payersProviding adaptive equipment and preventative measures to prevent decline in patients’ function
REQUIREMENTS
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant programCurrent California Physical Therapist Assistant licenseMust possess a current CPR Card

This is a full-time position.
