This role may include the following responsibilities:


Processing requests for prior authorization from physicians and verifying patient information and coverage
Communicating with patients, pharmacists, doctors' offices and insurance companies
Educating internal and external customers on benefits, use of plan, formulary, premiums, and status of orders, claims or inquiries
Inputting prescriptions while ensuring accuracy
Filling medications and pre-packing bulk/unit medications
Maintaining automated dispensing units
Meeting processing and quality standards
Assisting in other areas as needed


Job Requirements:

The chosen candidate must be a registered Pharmacy Technician with hands-on experience in a retail or mail-order pharmacy setting. Experience communicating effectively with patients and providers is preferred, and claims knowledge will be a plus. Computer proficiency is a must.
