Pharmacy Technician

The Oral Dose Pharmacy Technician is responsible for assisting the Pharmacist in providing services to Providence ElderPlace and Hospice of Seattle patients. The Pharmacy Technician performs non-discretionary functions, which include order entry, distribution of medications and supplies, and maintaining patient records. The Pharmacy Technician performs these duties under the immediate supervision and control of a licensed pharmacist.

REQUIREMENTS
QUALIFICATIONS:

Completion of an approved pharmacy technician training program

Certification and license by the Washington Board of Pharmacy as a Level A Pharmacy Technician

Retail and/or long-term care pharmacy experience

Knowledge of the generic and trade names of the top 200 medications, knowledge of common pharmaceutical calculations, knowledge of pharmacy laws as they pertain to legal prescriptions, dispensing, pharmacy technician responsibilities and scope of practice.
