Pharmacy Supervisor

NORTHSIDE HOSPITAL Supervisor of Pharmacy The Supervisor of Pharmacy (Forsyth campus) directs and supervises the activities and services in his/her assigned practice area of Pharmacy (i.e., Medical/Surgical, Home Care and Specialty Satellites). The Supervisor works with all levels of patients including, but not limited to, neonates, pediatrics, adolescents, adults and geriatrics.


Oversee work schedules, assign and monitor duties and evaluates technical/professional staff. The Supervisor manages the quality of: preparation of drugs and IVs, pharmacokinetic drug dosing, utilization, investigational drug studies, and clinical pharmacy concerns. Will handle hiring, training, and orientation of pharmacy staff. Ensures that current and required credentials are obtained for all pharmacy personnel. Seek an organized and analytical leader that is detail oriented and a team player. Will administer the quality improvement program, monitor adverse drug event reporting, develop drug utilization evaluation, and develop ongoing policies and procedures for improved customer service. Will assist in JCAHO compliance. Oversee collection and analysis of data as well as inventory and order pharmaceutical supplies. Pyxis knowledge is advantageous. Job Requirements


Must be a graduate of an accredited School of Pharmacy with a minimum of three


(3) years’ experience as a hospital pharmacist with unit dose, IV admixture and clinical pharmacy experience. Current licensure as a Registered Pharmacist in Georgia is required. We prefer a Pharm.D , Master’s degree, or an American Society of Hospital Pharmacists accredited residency. At least two or more years’ supervisory experience is preferred.
