Pediatric Supervisor - Registered Nurse

RN ResponsibilitiesResponsible for supervising, monitoring and evaluating field staff in the provision of direct nursing care to MCH/PEDS patients in the home.Ensures appropriate utilization of all services including physicians, therapists, social workers, and other nurses.Provides clinical expertise to nursing staff to ensure delivery of quality care.Prepares weekend schedules and provides home care visits when necessary and submits documentation of patient visits.Assumes supervisory on-call responsibilities including weekend coverage on a rotating basis to ensure 7-day, 24-hour, Agency accessibility to facilitate safe and adequate patient care.Metropolitan New York for nearly a century. REQUIREMENTS
RN Requirements
Baccalaureate Degree in Nursing; Masters degree preferred.Minimum of two years MCH/PEDS experience required, at least two years of supervisory experience preferred.Microsoft Word or Excel preferred.Licensure and current registration to practice as a Registered Professional Nurse in NYS.
Excellent customer service skills.Ability to work within an integrated health care team, demonstrate effective critical thinking skills and problem solve independently.Ability to communicate in English both verbally and in writing.Proficiency in interviewing and physical assessment skills.
