PSYCHIATRIC NURSES

Del Amo Hospital, a 166-bed JCAHO accredited psychiatric hospital located near the beautiful beaches in the South Bay area of Los Angeles, has the following positions now available:
Staff/Charge Nurse (RN): Saturdays and Sundays - Days and Evening shifts available. 32/40 Weekend Shifts also available.Staff/Charge Nurse (RN): Full Time, Part Time and Per Diem Night Shift.Staff/Charge Nurse (RN) - Youth Services: 8 - 12 hour shifts, evening shifts available.Utilization Review Coordinator - Full Time 32-40 Hours per week.Psychiatric Assessment Team: The P.A.T. Clinician provides high quality assessment, intervention, triage and teaching for clients in emergency rooms, hospitals, residential facilities, nursing homes, care centers, group homes, schools, and private residences in the communities surrounding Del Amo Hospital.

REQUIREMENTSStaff/Charge Nurse: Current licensure as a Registered Nurse through the State of California Board of Registered Nursing. Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing or baccalaureate program. Clinical experience in psychiatric setting preferred. Child and Adolescent Psychiatric Experience required for Youth Services position.Utilization Review Coordinator - Significant experience as a Registered Nurse or Nurse Manager in a psychiatric setting. Must be thoroughly conversant with the principles of Utilization Review and Quality Assurance.
P.A.T. Clinician: Must be currently licensed by the state of California as a RN, MFT, LCSW, or PhD for a minimum of three (3) years licensed experience working with psychiatric patients; Must complete the Lanterman-Petris-Short Act (“LPS”) Designated Training offered by the Los Angeles County (“LAC”), Department of Mental Health (“DMH”), Training Division; a passing score on the LAC-DMH, LPS Designation Exam; and approval for designation to Del Amo Hospital by the Medical Executive Committee; Must meet all other LAC requirements.
