Requires a high school diploma or GED, one year of health care experience, and one year of on-the-job training in the administration of physical therapy treatments; or a high school diploma or GED and two years of on-the-job training in physical therapy; or an equivalent combination of education and experience. PHYSICAL THERAPY

The Department of Occupational/Physical Therapy has an opening for a full-time Physical Therapy Technician. The PT Technician will perform direct patient care, primarily chest physical therapy and pulmonary clearance activities. He/she will work with both pediatric and adult inpatients of UNC Hospitals, but will be assigned to the pediatric team. Some patients will be critically ill. Work schedule usually consists of Monday - Friday. About once a month this technician will work Saturday and Sunday with time off to maintain 40 hr weeks. The selected candidate will receive training in basic anatomy, physiology, and pulmonary treatment techniques.

Part-time, Days, Weekends, Work schedules consist of Saturdays and Sundays., 20hrs/week
The Department of Occupational/Physical Therapy has immediate openings for 2 part-time Physical Therapy Technicians for weekend hours (Saturday and/or Sunday). The PT Technician will perform direct patient care, primarily chest physical therapy and pulmonary clearance activities. He/she will work with adult and pediatric inpatients of UNC Hospitals; some patients will be critically ill. Work schedules consist of Saturdays and/or Sundays. Candidates who are selected will receive training in basic anatomy, physiology, and pulmonary treatment techniques.SKILLS REQUIRED
