The PCA is responsible for supporting the RN with clinical task, including, but not limited to glucometry, EKGs, and vital signs. In addition, the PCA is responsible for responding to the needs of patients and family members and takes a proactive role in the efficient operation of the unit.
REQUIREMENTS
High School Diploma or G.E.D required. Must be a MA State Certified Nursing Assistant or a nursing student attending an accredited Nursing school who has completed at least one full clinical rotation and the Fundamentals of Nursing (or equivalent course). Ability to read, write, perform simple arithmetic calculations in English required. Proficiency in second language preferred. Prior experience as inpatient-nursing assistant preferred. Computer knowledge in windows-based applications preferred. One year of customer service experience preferred. Required to work every other weekend.
