Oncology Research Technician

Purpose: Aerotek is currently seeking research technicians to work the first shift, 9 a.m. - 5 p.m., in a very fast-paced and automated environment.
Each research technician will perform/assist tasks related to genetic variation analysis primarily for oncology related projects, including the development and validation of PCR methodologies, DNA isolation and purification, and mutation detection. This will entail performing benchwork and research assignments according to detailed protocols, designing assays and evaluating samples as part of a team focused on
genomic biomarker discovery and analysis. Duties will also include applying molecular biology techniques and concepts in order to
facilitate new applications and generate finalized summary reports. Laboratory techniques will include PCR, DNA extractions and
purifications, gel electrophoresis, and DNA cycle sequencing and data analysis.

Qualifications: Bachelors degree in Molecular Biology, Biology, Biochemistry, or related life science field is required. Prior
experience with PCR, DNA sequencing, and sequencing data analysis is preferred.Classification:Contract-to-HireCompensation:
