Oncology Research Nurse Coordinator

Purpose: Our client located in the Rockville MD area is currently seeking a Research Nurse Coordinator.

-Licensed RN in Maryland
-Identify new studies, define budget; negotiate contracts and reimbursement
-Present studies to Research Director for approval
-Obtain IRB approval
Identify consent and enroll patients into cooperative group, CTSU and pharmacological studies
-Ensure compliance with protocol and all regulatory policies as well as adherence to Federal regulations, company policies, and any other applicable procedures.
-Ensures validity of study information by monitoring and tracking clinical study data (CRFs, source documents, diagnostic reports, inventory logs, etc.) to identify/resolve discrepancies and obtain missing data.
-Identifies, evaluates, properly reports and ensures adequate follow-up of adverse experiences by timely and accurate documentation and appropriate communication of all Adverse Event reports per regulatory requirements.
-Maintains expertise in regulations for clinical trials. Serves as a resource related to clinical trial regulations.
-Ensures timely collection of study documentation by obtaining, maintaining and controlling all necessary records and documentation according to procedures and regulations.
-Ensures proper drug supply, accountability and storage during assigned clinical studies by ordering drug per procedure, reviewing drug usage reports, resolving any discrepancies
-Strong capability of effective communication in both written and verbal English is required
-Must be able to work and communicate in a positive and constructive manner in team-based environment
-Self starter and independent worker
-Excellent organizational skills a must
