Older Adult Therapist

Position Summary:
The therapist will provide intensive individual and group therapy for persons 60+ years old who reside in Chester Towers I & II, housing unit managed by Chester Housing Authority. Towers are located in Chester (Delaware County) PA.

Counseling will be provided for clients referred to NHS by a care manager due to adjustment issues resulting from impending involuntary relocation from current residence to other local housing facilities.

Services are provided in clients’ apartments or designated office in the housing facilities.

Position requires assessment, treatment and documentation of treatments. Position also involves collaboration with and referrals to other partner agencies and appropriate professionals, i. e. care managers, psychiatrists, MDs, etc.

Hours:
15 hours per week
REQUIREMENTS
Clinical MA/MS/MSW in Psychology, or Sociology, Social Work from an accredited university

and

1+ years of clinical experience in the field of geriatrics
