Occupational Therapist - Rehab Program Manager

As a Rehab Program Manager you will be responsible for an interdisciplinary team. This will include daily supervision, staffing and management, participation in facility meetings, planning RUG levels and month end operational reports. You will be encouraged to establish student affiliation relationships with local schools and will have the ability to take on additional extracurricular activities, as your interest warrants. As an “RPC” you will need to have graduated from an accredited therapy program in either Occupational, Physical or Speech Therapy and hold a state license in one of these professions as you will also be treating patients up to 50% of the time.

Located just outside Iron Mountain (16 miles), this existing multidisciplinary team is eager to have you join them. This smaller subacute facility (65 beds) has 10 private Med A suites and the caseload does occasionally have some out patients. Currently we average 10-15 patients and anticipate this to increase once we increase staffing and build/develop programs. We have our signature “GEM” program here – Geriatric Enhanced Modalities: Ultrasound, e-stim & diathermy – and will train new team members to use them. We have a Rehab Aide to assist with transportation and paperwork so you can focus on giving care. REQUIREMENTS
Occupational Therapist
Performs evaluations, develops and implements effective patient treatment plans to restore, compensate or adapt for loss of patient function, by planning and administering medically prescribed therapy treatments in accordance with federal, state and professional standards governing the facility and their discipline.
Qualifications:
•Graduate from an accredited program for Occupational Therapy.
•Must possess and maintain a current license in the state of practice as required.
•Must possess problem-solving skills of the type and at a level necessary to accomplish the job.
•Must demonstrate good time management and organizational skills.
•Must be able to communicate in English, both verbally and in writing.
•Must be able to relate professionally, positively, and cooperatively with patients, patient’s family members and facility staff.
•Must be capable of maintaining regular attendance.
•Must meet all local health regulations, pass post-offer drug test, and post-offer employment physical exam if required.
•Must be capable of performing essential job functions of this job, with or without reasonable accommodations.
•Must have own transportation to travel between sites as needed.
•Must possess computer skills of the type and at a level necessary to accomplish specific job duties and assignments.
•Must meet Clinical Competency requirements upon hire and as needed.
