OUTPATIENT PSYCHIATRIC SOCIAL WORKER- WPCC CLINICS

The Division of Community Psychiatry is seeking an experienced, licensed, psychiatric social worker for the Walter P. Carter Fayette St Clinic on the Continuous Care Team (CCT). The clinic is a part of a large academic Department of Psychiatry that is committed to excellence in service, teaching and research. The clinic provides comprehensive mental health services to adults and children.

The CCT provides psychiatric treatment, substance abuse and case management services to a population of patients requiring frequent and intensive interventions. The CCT combines elements of the PACT model and traditional outpatient treatment.
As a primary therapist on a multidisciplinary team in a community mental health clinic, the incumbent is responsible for providing individual, group and family therapy, as well as case management and dual diagnosis services. The incumbent carries a caseload of adult patients who are primarily seriously and persistently mentally ill. Caseload size is approximately 30.


All applicants must possess an LCSW-C in the state of Maryland. A minimum of 2-4 years experience in the delivery of mental health and dual diagnosis services to the specified population is required.
