Nursing Unit Manager

•Plan, assign and manage nursing care and nursing services provided by nursing assistants.•Prepares work assignment sheets.
•Received calls and finds replacements for absent staff.
•Prepares performance evaluations.•Meaningfully rewards and disciplines employees.•Schedules and adjusts lunch and rest breaks.
•Approves errors in time cards or other timekeeping records.
•Authorizes overtime as necessary.
•Demonstrates the knowledge and clinical expertise required to effectively supervise all nursing activities in the facility or the units to which assigned.•Reviews and implements all nursing procedures and systems relative to the units.•Other duties as assigned.
A valid RN license in DE a must and supervisory experience in long-term care or geriatric nursing strongly preferred.
