Nursing students functions under the direction of the RN and as a member of the unit-based patient care team. The Nursing student will support the RN with clinical tasks, including, but not limited to vital signs, blood pressure, EKGs, intake/output, glucometry, guaic check, and dressing changes. Non-clinical duties will include but are not limited to escorting patients/families upon being discharged from unit. Transporting patients and/or equipment to other areas of the hospital, when needed. Maintaining patient rooms.
REQUIREMENTS
Nursing student will have completed Foundations of Nursing in addition to first clinical rotation. Interested students should forward a cover letter and resume for review. Cover letter must include area of interest as well as the shift preference. Nursing students should have at least two written clinical references at the time of interview.
