Nurse Referral Coordinator -Full Time

The Ambulatory Care Center, within the Hospital, is seeking the right candidate for a Full Time Nurse Referral Coordinator position. The schedule for the position will be Monday through Friday from 10:30am to 7:00pm.
PRIMARY FUNCTIONTriage inquiries, of a clinical nature, from physicians and parents to facilitate placement of patients in the appropriate clinic. As necessary, the Nurse Referral Coordinator will make the appointment or reroute as indicated.
Contact physician offices and other professional referral sources to keep them informed of referral procedures, address concerns, solve problems, and advise them of new policies, programs, and services.
Provide input for the development of policies and protocols in order to receive and coordinate new referrals.
REQUIREMENTS
POSITION QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor’s Degree or Nursing Degree Required (RN)
One year patient care experience
Strong working knowledge of the health care providers and their capabilities, within the designated territory
Discretion, diplomacy, and good judgement skills essential.
Excellent phone, communication, presentation, organizational, and interpersonal skills. LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS, OR CERTIFICATIONS
Delaware Nursing License(RN) required
