Network Specialist

Job responsibilities include but not limited to:Assists in design and implementation of data network
Installs and configures network hardware and software, including servers, switches, routers, peripherals, terminals, and wiring.
Monitors availability and utilization of servers, switches, and UPS.Administers MS Active Directory and Novell eDirectory.
Troubleshoots advanced LAN and e-mail problems.Troubleshoots basic routing problems.Prepares and maintains documentation of network configuration and cabling layouts.Evaluates network and application requirements and makes hardware recommendations.Provides technical support to application and desktop support teamsSchedules and performs server backups.Coordinates with consultants and vendors for network hardware, software, and telecommunication services.
REQUIREMENTS
Minimum of four years experience in supporting computer systems with minimum of two years in data networks, Microsoft Windows 2000, Novell NetWare, and e-mail systems. Strong understanding of TCP/IP, frame-relay, switching, and routing is a must. CCNA required. Minimum of one MCP, CNA, or equivalent certificate required.
