Minimum Data Set Coordinator (Certified preferred)

The Minimum Data Set (MDS) Coordinator oversees and insures timely and accurate completion, and submission of, the Resident Assessment Indicator (RAI); obtain the Final Validation Reports for the MDS submission, and ensure correction of all errors. Responsible for keeping up with regulation changes relating to the RAI, reimbursement, and implements changes accordingly. Is qualified by education and experience to fulfill the supervision duties of the Director of Nursing in his/her absence, and at the direction of the administrator. Coordinates the charting process to ensure accuracy and timely completion; tracks Resident Utilization Grouping (RUG’s) categories and ensures accuracy for all residents receiving Medicare part A benefits; and participates in the screening and admissions of new patients. Ensure compliance with the values, policies and procedures of Grandview Christian Ministries. Retrieve the Quality Indicator Reports at least monthly, analyzes the reports, takes necessary action and reports the information to the Quality Improvement Committee monthly.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Graduate of Accredited School of Nursing.

Possess a clear, unencumbered RN license in the State of Minnesota.
A inimum of one year of experience as a licensed nurse in a hospital, long-term facility of other related health care facility

Experience in nursing leadership or education, as well as prior experience in MDS coordination is preferred

Genuine interests in long term care nursing
