ResponsibilitiesReports to Corporate Food Director. Plans and directs campus activities of the Food and Nutrition Services within defined budget and performance standards in accordance with the mission, values, and vision of the hospital. Demonstrate competency in the management of resources, supplies and staff.The Patient Operations Manager is responsible for both the clinical and nutritional aspect of the service for patients, employees and visitors. Ensures adherence to all production, sanitary and therapeutic policies, and recommends or institutes change in technique or procedures for more efficient operation within agreed upon financial and other performance targets.Develops strategic vision and plan for Food and Nutrition service improvements at multiple sites including financial, service, technical and other appropriate measures and indicators to optimize performance. Comprehensive knowledge of administrative and therapeutic aspects of food, nutrition and food service administration at a level normally acquired through completion of a Bachelor's degree in Food Service or closely related field in order to have necessary technical expertise, Approximately five to seven years experience in managing professional and service employees.Ability to handle pressure and to meet daily deadlines. Excellent time management skills. Organized, results-oriented, and detail-oriented with good follow-through.Excellent problem solving and conflict resolution skills. Must be able to related to all levels of the organization and department staff, and have experience making board presentations. Direct and supervise a large dietary service operation.
Additional ResponsibilityOur ideal candidate must have a Bachelor's degree (major in food or nutrition and RD preferred) and five-seven years of experience managing professional and service staff.
