Medical Technologist / Medical Laboratory Technologist

The Medical Technologist performs all moderate and highly complex clinical procedures utilizing sophisticated instrumentation to obtain accurate laboratory test results for use in the diagnosis and treatment of disease. Analyzes and documents a variety of microscopic, bacteriologic, immunohematologic and or chemical diagnostic laboratory tests; conducts advanced tests.

REQUIREMENTS
1.Bachelor’s Degree (BS or BA) and graduation from an approved School of Medical Technology.2.Certification or eligibility for registration through examination by an Accredited Agency (ASCP, NCA, AMT or NRM) is required.3.Employee must pass certificate examination within three (3) consecutive attempts.4.First attempt must be made within one (1) year of hiring.5.If certification is not obtained, employee will be reassigned (if position available) or discharged.
