Our Cancer Center Services team has an immediate opportunity for a board-certified Radiotherapy Physicist to join in supporting the existing infrastructure and further expansion of a nation-wide network of cancer centers. The successful candidate will directly engage in a broad range of clinical work with current, as well as emerging technologies. The US Oncology network consists of newarly 100 cancer centers across the country and is the nation's single largest provider of cancer care, seeing more than 15% of all new cancer diagnoses in teh US. An enduring commitment to provide high-quality cancer care in a community setting with advanced technolgies is a cornerstone of our organization.

This is an unparalleled opportunity for a physicist to establish concurrent expertise across a wide array of radiotherapy technologies. Responsibilities of the role will include: supporting implementation of technolgies, (inclusive of vault shielding design, linac and treatment planning system commisioning, IMRT and IGRT launch, and various QA related activities); directly perform or work with physicists in affilited practice on the collection and analysis of radiation beam data; provide technical expertise to and collaborate with cancer center clinical staff on a variety of site-specific projects throughout the organization; maintain an awareness of the published literature related to new technolgies and methodologies; assist in research projects as they relate to medical physics.
REQUIREMENTS
M.S. or Ph.D. in Physics, medical physics, or related engineering discipline with ABR or ABMP certification. A minimum five years related clinical experience. Strong clinical experience in radiotherapy quality assurance, IMRT, treatment planning, linac commissioning, perferably in a multi-state environment. Experience with diagnostic imaging is a plus.Proficiency in all Microsoft Office products is expected.Travel is limited to the continental United States and will be approximately 50%.
