The purpose of the Medical Director, Neurology position is to design, direct, and function as Study Director of clinical studies as part of global clinical development plans in Neurology for worldwide registration, and to provide Neurological clinical input and support.This position offers numerous opportunities for advancement.
Primary Responsibilities:
•Responsible as a member of the Implementation Team for all medical and scientific aspects of the study from the design phase, through implementation and finalization, including scientific and medical input into the final review and sign-off of all pertinent clinical trial documentation.•Responsible for assuring that study conduct is in compliance with all applicable national, and internationally accepted regulations.•Review clinical research proposals within the therapeutic area for medical and scientific merit.•Ensure that the publication plans and the publication contents are scientifically and medically valid and compatible with the strategic messages of the Neurology therapeutic area.•Attend scientific, pharmaceutical and biotechnology industry meetings to remain abreast of new developments within Neurology, and new developments in clinical research methodologies.
REQUIREMENTS
Required Skills and Experience:
•Minimum requirements: Medical Degree.
•Preferred requirement: Clinical experience in Neurology.
•Preferred degree of experience: At least two years of experience in drug development in the pharmaceutical or biotech industry with neurological products.
•General knowledge of clinical research.•Ability to adjust clinical trial designs for safety reasons and /or to optimize opportunities•Ability to analyze, interpret, present and publish clinical study results.•Fluency in English.
