MRI Technologist 924

Under the direction of the Radiology Manager, and the clinical direction of the MRI Team Leader and Radiologist, and within the established hospital and departmental policies and procedures, provides high quality Magnetic Resonance Imaging services. Performs the majority of exams with minimal supervision. Serves as a positive role model, while working in collaboration with all levels of departmental personnel. Assures and provides a safe working environment. Adheres to all patient safety protocols and practices. Requirements: Associate’s degree required or for those candidates who meet requirements of licensing and registration agencies and have been grandfathered by those agencies, Associate’s degree requirement waived, but high school diploma or equivalent is required. Massachusetts License as a Radiologic Technologist required. Registration by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (A.R.R.T) required. M.R. registered or pending M.R. registration required (must receive registration within 12 months of hire or position will be forfeited). Current CPR certification required. One (1)- two (2) years M.R. experience and/or training required; demonstrated knowledge and understanding of general anatomy, physiology and medical terminology required, as well as a high level of knowledge of cross-sectional anatomy. Demonstrated good interpersonal, oral and written communication and organizational skills required. Demonstrated ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference and apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations required.
