MENTAL HEALTH SPECIALIST

Woodbourne Center, a multi-program behavioral health agency, is seeking a MENTAL HEALTH SPECIALIST to assist with supervision of the Bridges program. Bridges provides short term respite care for children with emotional disturbances prior to after placements in foster care or other treatment settings.

Reporting to the Resident Services Manager, will schedule direct care staff, coordinate daily activities for clients, supervise direct care staff, and provide unit coverage and shift supervision for other residential programs as assigned.

Program location is 2041 E. Fayette Street. Work hours will be 8a-4p or 2p-10p, with rotating weekend shifts. This is an excellent entry level supervisory opportunity for a career in social services.
REQUIREMENTS
--BA or BS degree in psychology, social work, human services or related field.
--1 year working with emotionally disturbed or at-risk children in residential or out-patient environment.
--Evidence of supervisory skills gained from leadership roles and assignments.
--Excellent team work and oral communication skills.
--Crisis intervention skills.
--Ability to multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment-
