Lead Emer Dept Registrar

Under general supervision of the Supervisor of the Emergency Department's Registration Office, the Lead Emergency Department Registrar coordinates, trains, and provides resource assistance to Patient Account Representative in the Emergency Department.

Must be able to obtain demographic, third-party insurance, and related financial information on ED patients.

REQUIREMENTS
High School diploma or equivalency with the ability to operate personal computer and standard office applications and equipment.

Ability to maintain quality assurance, safety, environmental and infection control in accordance with established hospital/departmental policies and procedures.

Demonstrated leadership skills to effectively supervise staff, with ability to prioritizes and assign work to assure timely completion.

One to three years third party insurance billing or registration experience in an automated hospital environment. Three to six months progressively more responsible related job experience is required.

Previous Patient Accounts Representative experience preferred, as well as well-developed interpersonal and communications skills.
