Responsible for seeing that all the equipment, instruments and supplies are on hand, sterile if indicated, and in good working order. Assists with preparing the operating room before and after each surgical case. OSHA Bloodborne Pathogens Class I. May be required, as appropriate, to drive either a CHRISTUS fleet vehicle or personal vehicle to attend educational meetings or perform other business related functions on behalf of CHRISTUS Jasper Memorial Hospital. REQUIREMENTS
Work Experience: Operating room experience required. Training and/or experience in surgical aseptic technique preferred.2. Technical Training: Current CPR certification within 90 days of employment.E. Physical and Mental Requirements: Duties of the position require extended periods of standing, walking, bending, stooping, twisting, reaching, pulling and pushing when handling instruments. Lifting up 50 pounds. Occasional heavy lifting when moving or supporting a patient that may suddenly become weak or helpless.
