Intervention Specialist: AIC Program

Date Posted: 9/15/2006Job Description: The Alternative Incarceration Center, one of Wheeler Clinic’s innovative criminal justice programs located in New Britain, has an opening for an Intervention Specialist. Masters Degree plus one year experience in the criminal justice or social services field. Experience in teaching, training and/or group facilitation. Must possess considerable oral and written communication skills, be able to recognize anti-social thinking, understand the continuum of criminal logic, and be familiar with cognitive behavioral approaches. The selected candidate will provide interventions that are gender and culturally sensitive, and serve as a role model to clients and staff modeling pro-social behaviors.
