Instrumentation Technician

Our client, a successful, expanding industrial-electrical contractor located in the Northwest suburbs, is seeking an Instrumentation Technician to join their team.
REQUIREMENTS
*Strong trouble-shooting skills.
*Able to effect repairs on process control equipment, including single loop stand alone, PLC controlled and DCS controlled loops.
*Understand the principles of operation of process control measurements including pressure level, flow, temperature and analytical measurements.
*Able to identify, test, repair or install elements used in process control including: pressure level, temperature and flow transmitters, pressure switches, valves, actuators, chart recorders, signal conditioners (I/P) and others.
*Ability to identify, select and use calibration equipment to set-up, calibrate or adjust equipment.
*Ability to measure, cut and bend tubing.
*Able to work overtime or off-shift as projects demand.

*Experience working in industrial settings (refinery, printing plant, mill, steel service centers, etc.)
*Mechanical aptitude.
*Knowledge of industrial electrical systems, motor controls and national electrical code.
