Instructors Needed (Dental Assisting & MIBC)

Corinthian Colleges, Inc. a publicly traded corporation and one of the nation's leading providers of post-secondary training for adult learners with 130 campuses serving over 60,000 students has an immediate opening for a highly motivated, goal-oriented INSTRUCTORS for our National Institute of Technology – Houston Greenspoint, TX campus.

We are looking for a part-time Dental Assisting Instructor and a part-time Medical Insurance Billing/Coding Instructor to teach evening classes only, Monday-Thursday 6pm-11pm. Responsibilities Include:
Maintain a teaching assignment each module.Plan course instruction based upon approved syllabus/outline provided, to assure that course content and objectives are met. Distribute a copy of the module calendar to all students at first class meeting.Cover all material in depth and scope as described in syllabus.Utilize a variety of teaching styles and methods to accommodate diverse learning styles of students.Design, administer and grade examinations to assess achievement of course objectives as identified in the syllabus.Actively work to maintain retention in all classes taught, by maintaining accurate attendance records daily, calling all students who are absent, and recording absentee information in roster after each class meeting and communicating attendance “concerns” to the Program Chair or DOE.Be available to advise students, tutor and provide other assistance as needed.
REQUIREMENTS
5 years minimum experience in a related field
Certification in the appropriate subject
Teaching experience a plus, but not required
