Infusion Pharmacy Technician

Omnicare/Interlock Pharmacy Systems is a long term care pharmacy that provides pharmacy and related services to patients residing in nursing facilities.
As an Infusion (IV) Pharmacy Technician, you will provide professional infusion and pharmaceutical services to our clients (pediatric, adolescent, adult, and geriatric).Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:
Preparing IV admixtures in a laminar flow hood using aseptic technique.
Preparing chemotherapy admixtures in a vertical flow hood using aseptic technique.
Obtaining verification and/or clarification of physician medication orders.
Obtaining lab results for proper monitoring of patient therapies.
Performing calibration of automated equipment and IV pumps, including routine maintenance, cleaning, and appropriate documentation.
REQUIREMENTS
One year as a pharmacy technician or related experience. Prior infusion pharmacy experience preferred
Knowledge of office machines associated with the position, including Windows based PC.
Excellent organizational skills.
Excellent work history and references.
High degree of motivation and self-discipline with ability to prioritize own workload and adapt to new procedures.
Good mathematical, analytical, and problem solving skills.
Excellent communication and interactive skills.
