Job DescriptionPosition Responsibilities:
Support the development of the Integrated Safety Analysis for the MOX facility.
Evaluate the adequacy of the MFFF fire protection safety SSCs and strategies.
Prepare process hazards analyses (eg HaZop and what-if) for various MOX process systems
Develop safety evaluation that demonstrates MFFF satisfies the requirements of 10CFR70.61 for hazards associated with fires.
Review analysis prepared by the fire protection group.
Identify, perform and/or support preparation of fire analyses or models necessary to support the safety analysis
Perform and support failure modes and effects analyses of MOX safety systems.
Work with design groups to ensure documentation supports the safety evaluation.
Generate documentation for submittal to the NRC.

Required Qualifications (include minimum years of experience and degree requirements):
BS degree in Nuclear, Chemical, or Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
Engineer with experience in fire protection engineering for nuclear facilities.
Experience with standard office software including the use of databases

Desired Qualifications (include desired certifications and/or desired education qualifications):
Experience interfacing with the NRC and generating documents for submittal to the NRC.
Qualified as a fire protection engineer.
