Software Engineer for knowledge-based systems at the Decision Systems Group (http://dsg.harvard.edu/). The DSG is a Medical Informatics research and training laboratory located at Boston's Brigham and Women's Hospital (http://www.partners.org/bwh/) and affiliated with the Harvard Medial School. This is a full-time position. Salary is commensurate with experience.Designs, tests, and implements software components, tools and applications for knowledge-based, health information systems.Plans development and implementation strategies, defines development timelines, specifies deliverables and associated tasks, and ensures successful integration of all code, interface elements, and applications.Writes technical, process, and user documentation for software.
REQUIREMENTS
Minimum: a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science with 2+ years experience in Java programming.Need very strong learning abilities and good software engineering skills.Experience in natural language processing and data mining is desirable.Communication and documentation skills are important for this position.Should have application development experience in Windows and/or UNIX operating environments.
