The Home Health Aide is responsible for provision of home services within the scope of the Home Health Aide job description under the direction of the Home Care nurse. Full-time, part-time, day, evening, and night shifts are currently available.

Tasks may include, but are not limited to, laundry, vacuuming, dusting, and cleaning of countertops, sinks, mopping floors, and meal preparation. All HHA Services are performed by a trained HHA under the placement and direct supervision of the registered nurses.

•Assists with needs and comfort of patients to include hygiene, activity

•Observes patient condition, identifies changes and communicates to RN

•Maintains a safe, clean environment with necessary supplies

•Clinical and departmental competencies are passed annually


REQUIREMENTS
Qualifications:

•Requires level of knowledge normally acquired in the course of obtaining a high school diploma. Successful completion of a Home Health Aide training course and competency training from a Medicare-certified agency is required

•HHA must record a minimum of 12 hours of educational in-service per calendar year
