The American Cancer Society’s Health Initiatives Representative Position requires the coordination, management and ability to work with volunteers to plan and conduct appropriate cancer programs initiatives/interventions to reach target populations through employers, community networks and other systems. Representatives also assist with execution of Division-led marketing communications, media relations and advocacy strategies as assigned.
REQUIREMENTS

Bachelor’s degree in health systems, public administration, communications or related field or equivalent combination of education/experience.
Excellent project management, communication, collaboration and team participation skills.
Proven relationship building, persuasion and influence skills.
Ability to read, understand and explain demographic data
Computer competence, including, but not limited to, Microsoft Office, database management, Lotus Notes. Ability to navigate database and enter data, PageMaker and/or Publisher.
Ability to travel within assigned region.
Able to lift 30 lbs and perform basic set up & take down of program materials including loading/unloading boxes, setting up displays, etc.
Must have access to car or be able to transport materials to and from meetings and workplace/community programs.
Must be able to staff evening and weekend committee meetings, events and programs.
