Health/Fitness Specialist

The health/fitness specialist will support the development and delivery of corporate health and wellness programs. The health/fitness specialist will work closely with the program manager to provide a balanced health and fitness program. Duties include, but are not limited to the following: JOB SCOPE: Exercise supervision, programming, fitness testing and facility orientations Teach group exercise classes Assist in planning, promotion and evaluation of health promotion programs Assist and implement incentive programs Assist with daily operations of fitness center & offsite club memberships
COMPENSATION/BENEFITS: The compensation and benefits package includes comprehensive medical/dental/vision; 401K; paid vacation/sick leave; continuing education reimbursement; professional development stipend; commuter stipend of an additional $100.00 per month; 11 paid holidays; eligibility for bonuses twice per year; and comprehensive in-house training. REQUIREMENTS
JOB QUALIFICATIONS:* Bachelor’s degree OR certification (ACE, AFAA, ACSM, NASM, NSCA, NCSF) in health/fitness, or related field.
* CPR/AED and First Aid certification required* Competency in Group Exercise instruction* Strong organization skills required* Good working knowledge of computers: Word, Excel, PowerPoint * Strong interpersonal communication skills required Personable; positive attitude
