The ideal health claims examiner candidate will have 1 – 2 years of general health claims processing or Medicare claims processing and must be a high producer with excellent quality. If you have strong organizational skills and like to review and adjudicate health claims, we want to talk to you about joining our team. The next start date is currently scheduled for October 3, 2006.
REQUIREMENTS
Strong candidates will possess some or all of the following knowledge:Knowledge of medical terminology. Knowledge of ICD-9, CPT, and HCPCS coding Knowledge of HIPAA regulationsKnowledge of PC applications and systems
General knowledge of claims adjudicationAbility to read and interpret general business correspondence, procedure manuals, and specific plan documentsAbility to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization existsExcellent keyboarding skills
Excellent 10 key skillsAbility to perform basic math functions – addition, subtraction, multiplication, and divisionAbility to work and communicate effectively in a team environmentAbility to work under pressureAbility to work in an environment with fluctuating workloads
