Health Benefits (Medical/Dental) Claims Trainer

Western Growers celebrates more than 80 years of serving the fresh produce industry in California and Arizona. Our association members are the farmers who grow, pack and ship nearly one half of the nation's fresh vegetables, fruits and nuts. Some of the services we provide to our members include: health benefits, government relations, community relations, training, transportation claims and negotiations, legal and labor relations, financial services and retirement benefits, and property and casualty coverage.

We have an immediate opening for a Claims Trainer in our Irvine or Fresno office. Reporting directly to the Director, Claims Operations; the responsibilities will include:

•Assess training needs of Claims department.
•Designs, delivers, and implements claims training programs for newly hired Claims Examiners/Adjusters, Customer Service Representatives, Claims Auditors as well as ongoing training for like in-house staff.
•Develop and maintain current claims procedures manual and guidelines.
•Monitors and reports on the effectiveness of training and levels of comprehension.
•Analyze claims problems and determine the cause of errors and route to proper individual/department for correction.
•Monitor daily electronic claim receipts as well as the tracking and reporting of this data.
•Track and report training efforts to Claims Director and executive management.
•Processing of claims as needed.
•Performs various tasks for the Claims Supervisor as needed, and leads and directs work of others within the department.
•Other duties as may be assigned.
REQUIREMENTS
Prefer a minimum of three years experience in a training environment within the health/dental insurance industry and BA/BS in related field. Understanding of adult learning concepts and principals. Proficiency in MS word, excel, PowerPoint is a must. Superior organizational, multi-tasking and exceptional written/verbal communication skills are strongly desired. Must have a clean DMV record and ability to travel to field offices throughout CA and AZ as needed.
