HIM Manager

Status/Schedule: Status: Full Time Shift: Day Average Weekly Hours: 40 hrs/wkShift(s): Primarily days. No on-call duty required. No weekends required.
Days: Monday - FridayJob Description:The Health Information Manager oversees the HIM department including personnel and resources which support proper maintenance of all medical records (both paper and electronic) consistent with the standards of the Joint Commission on Accreditation of Health Organization, Medicare Conditions of Participation, HIPAA Privacy and Hospital Policies. Serves as Privacy Officer for organization.
REQUIREMENTS
Education: Bachelor’s Degree and completion of an accredited training program for Medical Information Technology required.Experience: Minimum of 3 years experience in Health Information Management. Two years experience in a management or supervisory role required. Special Skills: Certification as Registered Health Information Technician (RHIT) or Registered Health Information Administrator (RHIA) by the American Health Information Management Association preferred.
