HDS Supervisor
The Health Data Services Supervisor provides leadership and support for staff in daily tactical operations of the Health Data Services unit; promotes excellent customer service and fosters team work; handles HDS personnel issues; oversees processing of medical records for clinic use; assists with implementation and promotion of the EMR (Electronic Medical Record) as directed by Corporate HDS Director; maintains patient confidentiality; assigns tasks; standardizes processes, as well as improves process efficiency, to reduce rework; provides training and guidance to HDS staff. Under the guidance of the HDS Director, creates and implements policies and procedures for the HDS Department. Conducts quality improvement monitoring, implements and facilitates team training and educational sessions, facilitates department meetings. Responsible for the administrative and operational activities of Health Data Services Department.
REQUIREMENTS
Required Credentials:

Registered Health Information Administrator (RHIA) (strongly preferred), or Accredited Health Information Technician (RHIT), or a two year degree in a related field with HDS/HIM supervisory experience.

Additional Requirements:Maintains ongoing credentials by fulfilling continuing education requirements according to the American Health Information Management Association.
Two+ years of experience in a health information management department.
Supervisory experience preferred
At least one year being in an ambulatory care setting preferred.
This position is located primarily at Beacon Hill with rotation at the Renton Clinic.
Two-year degree in a related field preferred.
