Wayne State University School of Medicine is the fourth largest medical school in the United States.Under limited supervision, coordinates the daily activities of assigned staff and ensures the validity of test results. Performs specialized and/or innovative testing and analyses. Serves as a technical resource person providing guidance and direction to staff.
REQUIREMENTS
Bachelor's degree in Medical Technology, related science or clinical discipline or Canadian degree in clinical discipline and completion of accredited Technologist program.
Registered as a Medical Technologist with the American Society of Clinical Pathologists, MT (ASCP), National Certifying Agency , Canadian CSMLS or registered in specialty area or equivalent.
Four to five years of progressively more responsible experience as a Medical Technologist, one to two years in a leadership role.
Interpersonal skills to effectively communicate with a variety of medical personnel.
Organizational skills to coordinate the daily activities and implement directives.Analytical ability to perform technical procedures and perform troubleshooting as needed
