Meisel Ground Acute Rehab is a 20-bed unit. Our patients, ages 18 59 90+, receive extensive rehab services requiring a longer length of stay than is generally allowed in an acute-care hospital. We have had great success with our traumatic brain injury patients returning to the community. Our respiratory rehab program is the first inpatient program in the Baltimore metropolitan area. The multidisciplinary team consists of physicians (including a physiatrist), nurses, certified geriatric nursing assistants, social workers, physical therapists, occupational therapists, speech language pathologist, recreation therapists, clinical pharmacist, RN psychiatric clinical specialist, physician assistants, and chaplain.
