We currently have an opportunity for a Senior Associate within our Health and Welfare Practice in our Chicago Office.MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES: As a key member of our rapidly growing Health and Welfare practice, you will be part of a team providing leading edge health and welfare consulting to our employer health plan and government clients.
This encompasses a wide range of actuarial consulting services, including: the opportunity to work on numerous existing retiree health FAS 106 engagements, health care strategy, health plan pricing, financial projections and analysis, benefit plan redesign, and health care cost & utilization analysis. This individual will also be involved in the development of financial models and systems to support our health & welfare consulting practice. The Healthcare Practice works very closely with other groups within Employee Benefits Consulting as well as the Advisory Practice at PwC, presenting the opportunity to get involved in a broad range of consulting projects. Education Requirement:
Bachelor’s degree in math, actuarial science or other related field required. Working toward attaining FSA or ASA designation; currently taking exams requiredEssential Requirements:
SKILLS/QUALIFICATIONS: Qualified candidates will have 4-6 years prior health care actuarial consulting experience. Knowledge of retiree medical/pricing/underwriting for active and retiree health and health claims reserving Working toward attaining FSA or ASA designation; currently taking exams Ability to interact with clients extensively, desire to grow into project management role & mentor others. Will consider insurance background if other requirements are met.Excellent Excel and Access skills, SAS is a plus
