Field Speech and Language Pathologist

Position Scope:A Field Speech and Language Pathologist is a licensed professional who provides direct and indirect patient care services under a physician’s plan of care and in accordance with the policies and procedures of the Option Care, the state’s professional standards, and regulatory entities. The Field Speech and Language Pathologist is responsible for collaboratively establishing and implementing the care plan, educating patients/caregivers and evaluating the patient’s progress toward goals.
REQUIREMENTS
Minimum Requirements:
•The Speech therapist/Pathologist is a member of the American Speech Language Hearing Association with a Certificate of Clinical Competence in the appropriate area or meets the educational requirements for certifications and is accumulating the supervised experience required for certification.
•Registered to practice as a speech therapist in the state of practice if the state has registration practices.
•Has master’s Degree in Speech Language Pathology or Ideology and one (1) full year of supervised work experience;
OR
Is fulfilling the Clinical Fellowship year and is supervised by a licensed Speech Pathologist.
•Valid and current drivers license and evidence of automobile insurance
•Minimum of one year of experience as a physical therapist
•Flexibility and the ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team
•Ability to communicate effectively (verbal and written) with team members, patients, care givers, physicians and referral sources.

Preferred Qualifications
•Previous home health care experience
