Field Nurse Pediatric - Registered Nurse

ResponsibilitiesAssumes on-going primary responsibility for an assigned caseload of MCH/Peds patients in order to coordinate, implement and evaluate patient plan of care in the patient’s home.Coordinates activities with other health team members to ensure optimal patient care and communication of pertinent findings.Reviews patient insurance information, identifies appropriate billing source, and bills appropriate insurance based on patient needs.Metropolitan New York for nearly a century. REQUIREMENTS
Associates/Diploma from an accredited school of Nursing; Baccalaureate Degree preferred.Minimum of one-year acute, Medical-Surgical nursing experience.CHHA / LTHHCP experience preferred.Minimum of one-year of MCH or PEDS experience required.Knowledge of Word and Excel preferred.Licensure and current registration to practice as a Registered Professional Nurse in NYS.
Excellent customer service skills.Ability to work within an integrated health care team, demonstrate effective critical thinking skills and problem solve independently.Ability to communicate in English both verbally and in writing.Proficiency in interviewing and physical assessment skills.
This is a field position requiring travel in a designated area within NYC.
