An Exercise Specialist position is ideal for someone seeking a motivating, diverse and team-oriented environment. We are currently seeking Exercise Specialists to work at one of our premier corporate fitness centers in Deerfield, IL.
An Exercise Specialist at Plus One works closely with their clients to perform exercise assessments, and then to devise and implement progressive, individualized exercise prescriptions. The programs for clientele are conducted in a safe, effective and appropriate manner based upon physiological and structural assessment, medical history, and individuals’ goals and objectives via Plus One's online fitness program PlusOneActive.com. Exercise Specialists also stay actively involved in wellness programs for their members, in the form of competitions, screenings, newsletters and fitness fairs.
Requirements:
A bachelor's degree in Exercise Science or a related field is preferred. Current CPR and First Aid certifications plus one or more certifications from the following organizations are required:
